COVID-Safe Event Guidelines
Sponsor and Delegate Information
Overview
This Guideline has been created to clearly outline our COVIDSafe Event Plan for the CFA Societies Australia Investment Conference to be held at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne on Thursday, 14th October, 2021. The conference will be COVID-safe and compliant above and beyond any basic government health requirements to do what we reasonably can to protect your health and safety and that of all attendees. That will include appropriate social distancing and other measures.
What happens if government regulations or restrictions related to COVID-19 limit or prohibit the conference from going ahead in person?
Sponsors
Should the Conference be limited or prohibited from going ahead in person then CFA Societies Australia will reschedule the event. In the event where the conference is cancelled a full refund will be issued.
Delegates
If the event is cancelled or has to be moved due to COVID issues, we will provide you a full refund.
If you’re unwell we will offer a cancel-on-the-day refund. It’s in everyone’s interest to ensure anyone who feels unwell stays away from events, so we will offer you a full refund if you are showing any COVID-like symptoms with no questions asked.
If, after booking you are unable due to COVID-19, you are welcome to nominate someone else to attend in your place. If a non-member replaces a member, an additional fee will be charged to reflect the correct non-member rate to attend. Please advise substitutions via email so a correct name tag will be available at the registration desk.
On-site Safety Measures
The event will follow the relevant COVIDSafe Setting for metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. These settings are updated regularly by the Victorian Government.
On arrival
Guests will be requested to sign in using the Government QR Code sign in system. Sanitising stations will be available to enable all attendees the ability to clean and disinfect their hands regularly throughout the event. We also encourage regular handwashing.
Social Distancing
Social distancing decals will be visible on the floor of high traffic areas and places where you may be required to stand in a line. Where possible within the venue attendees will be asked to maintain physical distancing of 1.5 metres. Our staff will be informed of the current public health directions and receive training on correct physical distancing expectations and will be there to assist and guide attendees.
What if I have concerns about development of symptoms onsite?
If you’re unwell during the event we request that you notify a staff member and immediately leave the premises and follow the testing and COVIDSafe guidelines as outlined by the Victorian Government.
Seating
Seating arrangements will be as outlined by the Victorian Government current restrictions.
