Mentoring Program

CFA Societies Australia 2023 Mentoring Program

We are excited to launch our professional Mentoring Program for ambitious CFA Society Members to connect and learn from senior industry professionals in a 6-month development program commencing in September 2023.

The CFA Societies Australia 2023 Mentoring Program will provide successful applicants with tools, resources and guidance to convert ‘casual chats’ into powerful conversations. The personalised, structured program, facilitated virtually and in association with MentorKey, adapts to the specific needs of the individual users, building impactful relationships.

Mentees will be matched 1:1 with mentors based on key interests and career aspiration alignment. Mentees will be guided to confidently steer discussions on topics such as their aspirations, overcoming challenges, and boldly pursuing and achieving their career development and goals. The platform equips mentees to prepare and drive the agenda for their one-to-one mentoring sessions, and to maintain momentum while tracking progress in the online portal.

Mentors will be provided with the right frameworks and tools to help deliver on their mentee’s aspirations, development needs and goals.

Previous participants provided positive feedback about the program: (2022 Mentor)

“We both enjoyed participating and found it valuable as is evident in that we have continued to meet post the formal conclusion of the program. We both felt the initial set up that involved assistance with matching participants was valuable. As an example, I did not initially expect to be matched with my mentee, though once the program began, understood why we had been partnered. The program structure was beneficial – particularly the initial frameworks to set expectations and start the conversation (e.g. life story introduction). Overall, it is a worthwhile program.”

Applications for Mentors and Mentees are now open, closing Friday 25 August.
