The Women in Finance Network invites you to our upcoming event Diversity Matters: Diane Smith-Gander with South32 at the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club on Tuesday 26th March. We encourage both men and women to attend the event and join the conversation about the benefits gender diversity brings to companies, and therefore to clients and shareholders. The night will be opened by the Hon. Simone McGurk, Minister of Child Protection; Women’s Interests; Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence; Community Services.
Diane Smith-Gander is recognised as one of the most powerful women in the business community in Australia. Known for her enthusiastic, energetic and direct can-do style, Diane believes in building on strengths rather than addressing weaknesses. Diane has held a wide range of executive and non-executive roles and is a strong supporter of the business case for gender equity. Diane will lead a conversation with South32 executives:
- Nicole Duncan – Chief People and Legal Officer
- Tim Cipolloni – Group Manager Treasury
- Kristen Pelc – Principal Business Development
Come along to hear a thought-provoking discussion and intelligent and innovative insights about gender equity in the finance industry, with a specific focus on finance, investment and business development functions in the mining industry. The Women in Finance Network is an initiative of the CFA Society Perth.
