Mark Burgess

Mark was previously the Managing Director of the Future Fund, Australia’s $120bn sovereign wealth fund. He has worked overseas extensively including as an Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Credit Suisse Asset Management (EMEA) in London with over $250bn under management, and a Global CIO for Equities and Multi-Assets. He has also held positions as Global Chief Investment Officer for American Express Asset Management, Colonial First State, Colonial Group and Senior Portfolio Manager Bankers Trust.

Mark is currently Chair of the Investment Committee at HESTA (AUM ~$51bn), Chair of Yarra Capital Management, AMB Holdings, Advisory Board of Jamieson Coote Bonds, Advisory Board – IP Group (Australia), Chair of Melbourne Girls Grammar, of a Foundation supporting state school students at University and Director of OMFIF Foundation in London.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.
