In Melbourne: Design of retirement solutions: The challenge of delivering income streams Developing retirement income strategies is arguably the biggest challenge that the superannuation industry currently faces. Meeting this challenge requires the industry to turn its attention towards delivering income streams to retirees who can vary greatly in their circumstances and needs … quite a different task to the accumulation phase where return generation dominates. This presentation will outline what goes into the design of retirement income solutions that deploy and then drawn down on assets to generate income. Aspects covered will include key ways in which retirees differ, objectives, investment building blocks, drawdown strategies and outcome modelling. In Melbourne: Supply Chain Climate Exposure To manage climate risks, investors need reliable climate exposure metrics. This need is particularly acute for climate risks along the supply chain, where such risks are recognized as important, but difficult to measure. In this session, we will introduce an intuitive metric that quantifies the exposure a company has to customers, or suppliers, who may in turn be exposed to climate risks, and will show that such risks are not captured by traditional climate data.
