The CFA Society Melbourne is pleased to announce that CIPM designation holders and candidates are now able to become Society members.

The CFA Society Melbourne has made the change on the back of amendments by the CFA Institute, which has chosen to align CIPM Association members with CFA Institute members.

Once you have received notification that your membership has transitioned to an active regular CFA Institute membership, please feel free to join the CFA Society Melbourne by clicking on this link:

If you’re unable to transition to a regular membership due to work experience, or if you’re still a candidate in the program, don’t despair. You are able to join the CFA Society Melbourne as an affiliate or candidate member.

Membership has numerous benefits, but most of all, CFA Society Melbourne membership creates a greater ability to interact with other CIPM and CFA charter holders. The CFA Society Melbourne is also looking to create an open forum where performance analysts can come together on a regular basis to discuss anything and everything performance – buzz topics, your current problems or even the draft exposure of GIPS 20/20 which is currently open for public comments.

We’re looking to kick off things in November by holding an evening event that will include key note speakers and an opportunity to meet your fellow CFA and CIPM industry colleagues. Information about this event will be shared in due course.

For further information, please free to contact Graeme Miller ( or Kate Misic (, who will be able to assist any questions you have.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at the next event.

Kind regards,

CFA Society Melbourne
