Call for nominations: Australian Governance Council Chair

CFA Societies Australia and the local Societies in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney continue to build the CFA brand and mission and advance member services and recognition in Australia. The Australian Governance Council (AGC) is the national council for CFA Societies Australia. In a critical milestone, an independent chair is now sought to lead the AGC through the next phase of growth and development.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a member of one of the Australian CFA Societies (Melbourne, Perth, or Sydney);
  • have significant board experience and governance skills;
  • have senior investment industry experience, including leadership and management roles; and
  • not be currently serving as a board member of a local CFA Society.

This is an outstanding leadership opportunity to ensure CFA Societies Australia can deliver on the shared mission of our societies and CFA Institute and take the CFA designation and recognition to the next level. This is a voluntary position with an initial three-year term.

Applicants are asked to send the following by email to michaela.francis@cfas.org.au:

  • A short written application – one paragraph explaining why you are applying, and an optional second paragraph to provide any further relevant information; and
  • an up-to-date LinkedIn profile (link) or resume.

Access the position description here.

Access the Australian Governance Council Charter here.

For further information please contact the President of your local Society.

Nominations close on Monday, 27 March.
