CFA Societies Australia is a member-focused, non-profit organisation, currently run by senior industry members assisted by a small staff across Societies in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, which are member societies of the CFA Institute. Established in 1996, the Australian organisation has grown to 2,500 members holding the CFA designation and over 5,000 candidates sitting CFA exams each year.

This newly created role will report to the Governance Council for CFA Societies Australia and will be responsible for leading and implementing a national brand awareness and adoption strategy as well as driving higher professional standards and integrity across the investment industry. To achieve the CFA’s ambitious plans the CEO will liaise closely with the local Society boards and established committees to drive the expansion of the Society’s functions.

A high calibre networker and stakeholder manager, the successful applicant will effectively advocate the member benefits, via building strong professional relationships with regulators, investment sector corporates, members, volunteers and sponsors. Solid commercial acumen is essential, as is strategic planning and execution.

The successful CEO has a proven record in leadership, effective communication and corporate business development. Able to manage and motivate people, engage a diverse audience and increase awareness, building a strong and expanding profile. A commitment to the integrity of the industry is essential.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an investment industry leader to drive the national development of the CFA Societies of Australia and in turn make a significant industry impact to professional standards and ethics.
